UCSC Capstone Project - 11 Members

I was one of the few programmers in our group, as well as becoming the producer later during the project's lifespan. While getting familiar with Unity, I was primarily in charge of the importing all assets/animations & the battle system comprised of items, inventory, and combat in the side-scrolling sections. I also created the party member's behavior states where the A* pathfinding algorithm would be used to direct the party in terms of what behavior the player wishes them to do. For example, the party can be commanded to attack any enemies in sight while retracting back to the player as their default state.

Becoming a producer halfway into the project was rough due to the team's lack of communication with the previous producer and having to pick up the pieces from there. I primarily used Trello and weekly meetings to check up on each group's Split progress to see what we are on pace to complete and what we need to cut down/add given the amount of time we have.

The dungeon exploration with AI party members was inspired by Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 3.
