My Input
The game is an active tower defense game about defending a sandcastle restaurant from vengeful coastal animals. I was one of the main programmers managing resources and creating the behavior and spawning patterns of enemies after each wave. I aimed to create unique patterns for the enemy so while the player is actively controlling the bow, it wouldn't be as simple as enemies going in a straight line at one location. We wanted to create 3 different zones that not only felt different from each spawn but looked different, the zones being land, air, and sea. I also focused on the balancing of the scores and round-based system for players who go further into the game. I wanted each zone to feel fair in terms of location and spawn rate until much later into the game.
While this was our vision, it feel short in terms of time management and communication and thus most content mentioned was cut. Regardless of the result and due date, we continued to refine it post-submission to reach most goals described.
